Managing your rent account

If you get behind with your rent payments, the first step is to speak to us about any difficulties you are having with affording your rent so we can support you get back on track and to repay any arrears that have built up.

We can help you work out your household budget to ensure your rent is affordable and that you are getting all the help available with your housing costs (Universal Credit, Housing Benefit, Discretionary Housing Payments).

If you need to arrange an arrears repayment plan, we can help you look at how much you can reasonably afford to pay on a regular basis and speak to your Housing Officer on your behalf.
