Edzell is a small village, 5 miles north of Brechin and the A90 Dundee to Aberdeen dual carriageway. The River North Esk runs next to the Northern Eastern edge of the village
The local Primary School is Edzell Primary School which is located on the High Street. The Secondary School within the catchment area is Brechin High.
There is a G.P Practice – Edzell Health Centre located on the High Street.
There is Cafes, Restaurants, Butchers and a SPAR on the High Street.
